Welcome to Guilford GreenIt is the mission of the organization to promote diversity and inclusiveness throughout the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the greater Piedmont community by raising and distributing funds for LGBT organizations and programs and growing an endowment to sustain funding for these purposes. The Guilford Green Foundation seeks to courageously unite community by fostering organizations which advance LGBT persons and issues. Since its creation in 1996, GGF has provided more than $440,000 in funding to various non-profit agencies in Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, Rockingham and Davidson Counties.
Speak Out!The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro has partnered with the Guilford Green Foundation in collaboration with the National Community Funding Partnership for Lesbian and Gay Issues to create the Piedmont Unity Project. The project is designed to increase awareness and raise matching funds that will be granted to address gay and lesbian concerns in the Piedmont Triad community. Over a two-year period, Greensboro will receive a national grant of $100,000 - provided $200,000 is raised locally. Before making use of the matching grant funds, the foundation must complete a community needs assessment to help plan our funding in the future. Guilford Green Foundation is striving to get as many voices heard as possible. This is where you come in. If you are lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, or transgendered and you live in Alamance, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph or Rockingham counties please take the time and complete the survey. By sharing your perceptions and experiences you can shape how services will be strengthened and resources expanded in the coming years. Take the survey below!
